‘Homophobia is Outdated’ at São Paulo’s Sexual Diversity Museum

By Arthur Camargos Ôçô

São Paulo’s Sexual Diversity Museum (Museu da Diversidade Sexual) is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, supported by the state Secretary of Culture’s Gender and Ethnicity Initiative.

To celebrate its third anniversary, the museum is hosting until June 28 the exhibit “Homophobia is Outdated” (“Homofobia Fora de Moda”). Artists across the country were invited to submit works centered around three themes: “Homophobia is Outdated,” “Terms of Endearment” and “Red Card for Homophobia.” The best pieces were included in the exhibit and stamped on T-shirts.
